Ana Téllez

Ana is passionate about using participatory design, clear communication principles, and inclusive storytelling to advance health equity and racial justice. 

Ana leads communications strategy at Human Impact Partners (HIP). In her role, she works closely with the HIP team to develop actionable policy research and advocacy materials to advance grassroots social justice campaigns across the US. She’s a founding member of Public Health Awakened, a network of 1,300+ health professionals organizing for health, equity, and justice formed at the end of 2016. 

Previously, Ana worked at CommunicateHealth as a Senior Digital Health Strategist, where she was responsible for digital product development strategy for a range of government and academic clients. Prior to CommunicateHealth, Ana served as an eHealth & Policy Fellow at the US Department of Health and Human Services. She earned her masters in communication, technology, and education from Columbia University’s Teachers College and her bachelor’s degree in culture and politics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. 

Ana is originally from Mexico City — she lives in Berkeley, California, with her spouse and 2 kids. She’s a culture vulture for TV, and she loves a good dance party.
